In this video I demonstrate how you can perform PENG and FEMORAL TRIANGLE BLOCKS without using GEL on the patient’s side. The video demonstrates the critical parts of the procedure and how using EZCOVER® an ultrasound probe cover with a second-skin-like material eliminates the need for GEL for most ultrasound-guided internvetions. Not using gel is more time efficient and avoids the difficulties with cleaning the skin after the procedure, particularly when inserting perineural catheters, which are quite difficult to secure if there is any residual gel.
