To perform at this level, the surgeon should be acquainted with all instruments, have advanced hand-to-eye coordination, recognize the dangers, start focusing on hemostatic principles and safety techniques and be able to operate without supervision.
The next two videos will be dedicated to laparoscopic techniques for uterine and vaginal prolapse.
In this week’s operation, we shall demonstrate a simple case, whilst next week we will present a very complex procedure.
Case:
The patient is a 69-year-old woman with a history of two SVDs.
She had developed a moderate level 2 uterine prolapse with accompanying anterior vaginal wall prolapse.
