Thrombosis Canada presents Frontline Pharmacists Preventing and Treating COVID-19: What You Need To Know. This education program is designed by and for pharmacists with the following learning objectives:
At the end of this session participants will be able to:
- Encourage vaccination as an effective strategy to prevent or reduce the impact of COVID-19
- Describe the role of the pharmacist in the outpatient management of patients with or at risk of COVID-19 complications
- Select patients who are candidates for treatment of COVID-19 with antiviral therapy
- Assess and manage drug-drug interactions for patients prescribed an antiviral to treat COVID-19
- Optimize and monitor treatment for patients with COVID-19
