"Just recently my cousin texted me asking ""what black vomit mean""!?! That got me thinking about giving medical advice to family members as a medical resident, doctor, or even as a medical student. In this video I chat about the experience of transitioning to residency and having friends/family ask ""you're a doctor - what do you think about this??"". Although in residency we're gathering lots of knowledge, we often don't have the experience to match it... which makes giving advice tricky!!
