Hi! I'm Sarah and I am a hospital pharmacist. I am currently a float pharmacist, meaning I float through different areas in the hospital. This is a typical day in my life when I cover the ER at night!

This video goes over extensively my patient work-up process in the morning before I round - using my patient monitoring form that I created. I also go over tips on how to impress your preceptors by being extra prepared for their questions and how to properly present a patient using the SOAP format.

I wanted to be able to give back somehow so I decided to create a series of notion templates to help guide you through your pharmacy journey! Throughout these templates - I have included little blurbs with advice and I have included a helpful log for your pharmacy experiences (IPPE/APPE/Extracurriculars). I hope you like it!

I am currently a float pharmacist, meaning I "float" around and work different areas of the hospital depending on where they need me. I switch between Night shift and Day shift every 6 months. After working both type of shifts, here are my honest thoughts as I get ready in the morning!

I'll be recording my pharmacy journey - navigating life as a first time pharmacist fresh out of my pharmacy residency. I'll also show you a glimpse of what my life is like outside of work as well!

It is seriously so liberating having free time now - to invest in new and old hobbies... and to travel more! I mean, I did try to travel and enjoy myself as a student, but it's hard when you're not making much $$ as an intern (cue sad mini violin music). Now I can finally afford to enjoy life!

I graduated pharmacy school in 2020, finished my residency in 2021, and have officially been a full-time clinical hospital pharmacist ever since. I know, wild! I thought I would try something new - this is a WEEK in my life. I wanted to give you a sneak peak of how I utilize my precious days off and give you some updates about some changes for this new year.
