One of the most science fiction-like technologies in the medical field is a vein scanner (also known as a vein finder). A handheld device that can help a nurse or a phlobotomist find the right vein to take your blood sample.

The world’s coolest T-shirt or the best medical educational app… or both? Check out how Curiscope can show “my” organs. It’s a really well-executed augmented reality (AR) animation!

Because my background is in genomics, I am thrilled to try new genetic services. I've tried numerous direct-to-consumer genetic tests in the past (and shared them all with you), but I haven't tried 3X4 Genetics' test before, so it's time to give it a go. Let me show you the process and the results in this short review! Have you ever taken a genetic test? If so, did you find out something new about yourself?

Ambient Intelligence and Emotion AI are two, somewhat related concepts, and both have the potential to significantly improve future healthcare in many areas, such as addressing capacity issues and preventing staff burnout, improving patient outcomes and supporting the autonomous living of the elderly. Let’s see what these terms mean and what their practical applications will be.

I have tested many of the digital health devices of Viatom, a Chinese company in the last couple of years. So when they said continuous ECG monitor, I couldn't say no. Devices that users can wear for longer than a day (Holter monitoring) would be very much needed to become an increasingly commonplace as a diagnostic tool.

I asked Midjourney to design a range of health sensors and digital health technologies to see whether those are better than the devices that are already on the market. The AI-designed smartwatches are excellent! See for yourself!

EyeQue Insight lets anyone test their vision at home so people living in rural areas, with special needs or no access to transportation could still make sure they have the necessary sight test from time to time. Just like the traditional vision testing, it measures each eye separately and then together, revealing the visual acuity on the smartphone screen upon completion. It can also test for contrast sensitivity and colour blindness.

In this video, I collected 5 major discussions we will have about COVID-19 in 2022. Now the pandemic seems not extremely far from being over, but it’s important to keep in mind that it will eventually come to an end if we try to keep on acting responsibly.

Once again, I tried to explain a concept in one minute. This time, I talked about asynchronous telemedicine, a term we will need to get used to in the coming years. With the progress of digital health, especially due to the pandemic’s impact, remote care has become a popular approach in the healthcare setting. So what exactly is asynchronous telemedicine?

Kardia’s ECG sensor has had a spectacular evolution over the years. The newest version’s A.I. can detect six types of arrhythmias in under a minute. What do you think is next for ECG development? Maybe electrodes built into our bank card? As usual, we don't accept sponsorship or any kind of payment for product tests and reviews, and the company only sees the video when you do.

I’ve noticed in how much Meta is focusing on VR workout and fitness products and other health-related services from rehabilitation to physical therapy. Which opened up a bigger conversation for us. Why does every tech company focus on healthcare these days? And what makes them think they can provide care?
