Thanks to zoom, I'm doing lectures for med school from home and trying to be productive. Its been hard to stay motivated but I'm grateful to have the option to continue my education in a safe environment. Hope everyone is staying well, enjoy the vlog!

This was my vascular surgery elective! Vascular surgery is a unique specialty that deals with arterial, venous, and lymphatic pathology. I enjoyed this rotation that was rich with surgical and teaching oportunities!

Studying while balancing the busy life of clerkship was a challenge, but I think we survived the first block exam which covered OBGYN and paediatrics!

I recently did a 5 hour live stream study with me and honestly it has been a journey to workup my study endurance to this point. This is a week in my life as a medical student while on my OBGYN rotation! Obstetrics and gynaecology is a unique specialty and I enjoyed learning during this rotation. I'm still learning how to find balance with this more demanding schedule, but it has been a privilege to finally take an active role in patient care.

It is hard to believe I will be going back to school next week! I wanted to take my last week of summer to focus on exercising, meditating, journaling and sleeping in hopes that it would help me feel refreshed and recharged before heading back to medical school. By the end of the day my brain was in a reflective place and I started thinking about how during pre-med I invested so much thinking that getting into medical school would somehow make me a lot happier. This is a vlog of my past week and a half as our medical school took increasing measures to keep everyone safe. This has been my experience so far, and I wanted to share it incase anyone was curious about what is going on for medical students.
