In this presentation, Dr. Olea Popelka will present the core principles and foundations of the One Health approach which recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment. Dr. Popelka will use examples to show how the One Health approach has been applied (locally, nationally, and globally) to address health challenges at the interface of people, wildlife and domestic species and the environment. Emphasis will be placed on the integration of academia with relevant non-academic stakeholders/knowledge user.
